THE INCREASING COST.
RAILWAYS AND LABOR. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] Times and Sydney Sun Services.. London, Juno 25. Giving evidence before the Railways Commission, Sir Charles Owsno declared that nationalisation must increase the working cost, and this would be met either by increased railway rates or by national taxation.
The Labour vote was becoming more powerful yearly, and the poor taxpayer would have, to bear the burden.
