A section would prefer to reject the Amending Bill, but the Government would defer the second reading of the Home Rule Bill until the amending Bill is disposed of. > Messrs Redmond, Dillon and O'Connor, M.P.'s, interviewed the Premier privately at the House of Commons.

THE ARMS PROCLAMATION.

(Received 9.5 a.m.) London, June 25. Mr Lloyd George, replying on behalf of the Premier, said the proclamation regardin garms applied to all Ireland. Steps which he hoped would be effective had been taken for the enforcement of the proclamation. The Government did not propose to make representations to Washington.

ADDRESS TO THE KING. FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SENATE (Received 9.35 a.m.) Melbourne, June 25. The Senate by 25 votes to 5, in spite of a strong protest from the Government representative as to the inexpediency of such action, adopted an address to the King in favor of Home Rule for Ireland. Mr Cook declined to submit a similar address to the House.
