HOME RULE FOR IRELAND. PREPARING FOR JULY .1. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright! Press AasociAivi*. London, June 25. Under the amending Bill Londonderry and Belfast are treated as separate counties in voting for exclusion. Xewry is included in County Down. The second reading is fixed for Julv Ist. The Unionist leaders of the House of Lords conferred with Mr Bonar Law. It is expected that the Unionists will indicate during the second reading debate the amendments they propose to make at the committee stage. A section would prefer to reject the Amending Bill, but the Government would defer the second reading of the Home Rule Bill until the amending Bill is disposed of. > Messrs Redmond, Dillon and O'Connor, M.P.'s, interviewed the Premier privately at the House of Commons.
THE ARMS PROCLAMATION.
(Received 9.5 a.m.) London, June 25. Mr Lloyd George, replying on behalf of the Premier, said the proclamation regardin garms applied to all Ireland. Steps which he hoped would be effective had been taken for the enforcement of the proclamation. The Government did not propose to make representations to Washington.
ADDRESS TO THE KING. FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SENATE (Received 9.35 a.m.) Melbourne, June 25. The Senate by 25 votes to 5, in spite of a strong protest from the Government representative as to the inexpediency of such action, adopted an address to the King in favor of Home Rule for Ireland. Mr Cook declined to submit a similar address to the House.
