In the final Muriel Dodd beat Ravenscroft 7 up and 5 to play. TENNIS. (Received 11.20 a.m.) London, June 25. Dawson defeated Decugis, 6—4, 4—6, 6—l, 6—3. Parke defeated Caridia, 6—2, 6—2, 6—l. Mavrogordato defeated Doust, 6—o, 6—4, 6—4. Dunlop and Harding defeated David and Gordon Smith, 9—7, 4—6, 6—2, 6—l. Brookes and Wilding had a walk-over against Wallis, Myers and Craig Biddle.

Doust started badly. Mavrogordato's good net work piled up a sequence of seven games. Cross volleys and a magnificent strenuous struggle resulted in the third set,, but the Englishman's cross-strokes scored ace after ace. Harding's powerful service and all-i-ound excellence, coupled with Dunlop's smash, ing and pushing drives, were the ohiof factors in their doubles victory. HOCKEY. Wanganui, June 25. The representative hockey match, Taranaki versus Wanganui, was played here to-day in cold weather. The result was a draw—a goal each.
GOLF. STRATFORD v. INGLEWOOD. A team from Itiglewood visited Stratford yesterday. They had a very enjoyable match on the local links, the game resulting in a win for Stratford by Bto 5.
