PERSONAL.

Mr W. F. M. Buckley has been appointed a member of the Board of Agriculture in the place of the late Mr D. D. Macfarlane.

Mr G. W. Mills is at present in the hospital, suffering from gunshot wounds in the face, chest and shoulders, the injury being received by the accidental discharge of a gun while Mr Mills and a companion were out shooting yeserday. While some shot still remain unextracted it is not expected that the injuries will be serious.
