The Court of Chancery has ordered the compulsory winding-up of Chaplin, Milue, Grenfell and Co., Ltd. A. M. Grenfell’s pictures, which will be sold at Christie’s on Friday, include bue each by Titian, Cuyp, Kainsbororigh, Lawrence, and several Reynolds. Grenfell spent extraordinary sums on his home, Thomas H. Moore, of Castletown. Isle of Man, will be notified that he is the residuary legatee of his cousin, Mi-s Townsend, of New Zealand. It is reported that the estate is worth £BOO,OOO. Mr Moore is a'Justice of the Peace arid a widower, with one infant son. Vancouver, June 23. An attempt by fifteen Hindus to force their way to the Komogata Main to gain communication with their countrymen was frustrated by the police and the immigration officials. While Mr Bird, the Hindus’ lawyer, was attempting a pacific entry upon the ship, the Hindus took the matter into their own hands. They chartered a launch and set out from the wharf. A few minutes later they.were back in the dock, .having been headed off by the immigration boat.
