Time, 3min 30sec. Petane Steeple, of 12550v5., about 2 miles.—Merrie Lad 1, Paremata 2, Bonny 3. Scratched: Coronation, Waiwetn, Fond Memory, Cousin Jack. Won by half a length, a length between second and third. Merrie Lad took charge half a mile from home. Time, 4min 33sec. Stewards Handicap, of 200sovs, one mile.—Pursefiller 1, Portraiture 2, Mount Victoria 3. Scratched: Reclloh. Won by a length, half a length between second and third. Time, 1 min. 51 2-ssec. 1 Napier Steeple.—The Chief 1, Sir Lethe 2, Morihiko 3. Scratched: Leolanter and Kaipetipeti. Won by four lengths, the rest nowhere. Exotic and Cousin Jack fell.
