BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

In connection with the King’s Birthday celebrations yesterday, the Prince of Wales with the Oxford University cadets walked from Sandhurst ten miles to the camp at Mytchett, carrying a rifle, bayonet, water bottle, haversack, and other impedimenta. The Prince puffed cheerfully at a briar pipe, and joined in the choruses which enlivened the march, BIRTHDAY ELEBR ATIONS. THE KING AND THE ARMY. [United Press Association. ■ London, June 23. Trooping the colors was a brilliant spectacle. At the conclusion the King instituted a new departure by leading the troops in person from the paradeground to tlih Palace.
