"Worst is Feared!'
WRECK OF A SCHOONER. WITH CREW OF SIX. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Presb Akbociaiion. | Sydney, June 22. The schooner Aleda, 79 tons, built at Whangaroa in 1807, was wrecked at Plummer Point. The fata of the craw of six is unknown. LIST OF THE CREW. OTHER CRAFT CRIPPLED BY THE GALE. (Received 8.55 a.m.) Sydney, June 23. The worst is feared. The Aleda's crew consisted of Captain Siblet, Mate Merchant, Seamen Nelson, Andersen, and Kestila, and Cook Petersen. A number of vessels encountered the late gal© arriving in a crippled condition. The steamer Mokau reached Byron Bay badly battered, the captain was washed off the bridge and injured.
