In the Birthday honors there are 'four new peers, including the Rt. Hon. Sir H. H. Cozens-Hardy (Master ‘of the Rolls) and Sir Edgar Vincent. AN EARLDOM. Lord Kitchener receives an earldom. PRIVY COUNCILLORS. There are four Privy Councillors, including Mr Joseph Cook (Premier of Australia), Mr H. J. Tennant (Parliamentary Under-Secretary, the War Office), Mr Ellis Griffith (Under-Sec-retary, the State Home Department). Eight baronetcies were created, in- : eluding the Lord Mayor of London jand twenty-eight knighthoods. C.C.M.C.’E. The Earl of Liverpool (Governor of New Zealand), Rt. Hon. Mr Borden (Premier of Canada), General Bundle (Malta), and Admiral Bosanquet were granted Grand Crosses of St. Michael and St. George. K.C.M.C.’S, The Hon. W. H. Irvine (AttorneyGeneral of the Australian Commonwealth) and Major-General Godley (Nek Zealand Defence Department) were created Knights Commander of St. Michael and St. George. C.M.C.’s. Mr William Barlow (University, Adelaide), Colonel John William Parnell (Australia), and Mr Parr, Mayor of Auckland, were created Companions of St. Michael and St. George. K.B'S. Dr. Mawson (the explorer) and Mr ■Thomas Peter Stuart (Sydney University) were created Knights Bachelor.
