In connection with the Strathfield arrest, Samuel Freeman, with several aliases, was remanded on a charge of attempting to discharge an automatic pistol at Detective Hooper, with intent to murder. The police intimated that they suspected the accused of being a principal in the Eveleigh holdup, and intended to chareg him accordingly.
