THE TIDES.. High water at New Plymouth today 1.57 p.ra. To-morrow 2.8 a.m. and 2.10 p.m. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Oorinna, from South, Sunday. Poherua, from South, Tuesday. Rarawa, from North, Tuesday. Rarawa, from North, Friday. I A NEW SERVICE. On Wednesday, June 2i, the i\Japourika (1203) tons, will leave Wellington for New Plymouth. Sue wdl arrive here on Thursday afternoon, and will take her departure for Westport the same evening. Arrival will be made at the West Coast port on Friday evenings, and departure will be taken for Wellington on Saturday mornings in future. In consequence of this arrangement, the Flora will, on her run up from Dunedin, in future, omit New Plymouth as a port of cad u non en route from Wellington to the West Coast. She will, however, make a call at Picton. The Flora’s new timetable will come into operation on June 18th,

The Corinna, sailing on alternate Saturdays, and the Tavium, on alternate Thursdays, will maintain a weekly connection between southern poi ts, Welliutgon and New Plymouth as at present. The only variation is. that, in future, the Corinna will proceed direct to Nelson, thence on to New Plymouth, omitting Picton. The Kowhai completed discharging on Saturday, and sailed in the evening for Grey mouth. The Corinna arrived from southern ports yesterday morning with at)nut 700 tons of general cargo. She w.H commence discharging this morning, and after completion will sail for Onehunga, being due to return on Wednesday to load fo rsouthern ports.
