(Received 8.40 a.m.) Sydney, June 15. The Tanners’ Association has decided to increase the price of leather at least five per cent. (Received 9.10 a.m.) Sydney, June 15. Butter has advanced another four shillings per cwt.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. [Pee Press Association.] Wellington, June 15. The High Commissioner’s market import, dated London, 13th, is, inter alia, as follows : Butter.—The market is firm and steady. Danish is slow at 114 sto 116 s per cwt, New Zealand firm at 108 s to 110 s, exceptionally choice 112 s. The Australian market is quiet but steady at 100 s to 104 s. Siberian is steady at 98s to 102 s. Irish creamery is 'lnner at 104 s to 108 s. Cheese.—The market is firm, with 1 a good demand. Canadian old make 33s to 70s. The new make is in good lemand. White 62s to 635, colored 32s to 645. New Zealand is firmer, with good demand. White 64s to 655, colored 65s to 665. Wool.—The market for tops -remains arm. 36’s low crossbreds Is 4}d, 50’s halfbreds Is 81 d, 40’s low crossbreds Is Old, 46’s quarterbreds Is llfd, 44’s medium crossbreds Is sd, 60’s merino 2s 7ld.
