SCOTTISH CONCERT.

ON' KING'S BIBTHDAY

The annual concert and social under the auspices of the Stratford branch of the Taranaki Provincial Scottish Society has always been an enjoyable affair, and it is claimed that this year's function, to be given in the Town Hall on Wednesday, King's Birthday, will be quite up to the standard of past years. The imported •artists this year are Miss Knight (Wellington), Mrs Thomas (Christchurch), and Mr McGregor (Auckland), and vocal items will also be rendered by -Miss Sangster and Mr DougIns. Scottish dances will be given by the Messrs Wade and Miss Todd. The necessary national music .will be supplied by" the pipe band. The accompaniments are in the capable hands of Mrs McNeely.
