I —e ' HIGH COMMISSION EFTS' REPORT. The High Commissioner cabled under date London, 30th : Butter.—The .market is steady. Danish is quiet at 113 s to 115 s per cwt, exceptionally choice 116 s, New Zealand firmer at 107 s to 108 s, exceptionally choice to 110 s, Australian 100 s to 104 s, Siberian in moderate supply 98s to 102 s, Irish Creamery slow at 105 s to 108 s. Cheese.—The market is firm with an improved tendency. The Canadian stock is almost exhausted—6Bs to 70s per cwt. New Zealand, market firmer,' with a fair demand, white 59s 6d to 60s 6d, colored 63s to 645, Australian white 57s to 595, colored 60s to 625, English Cheddar, new make, 62s to 68s, English Cheddar, loaf, new make, 68s to 725, Cheshire new make 60s to 655.
Hemp.—The market is rather unsetpled on account of the Mexican position. New Zealand good fair per ton £26 10s, fair £23 10s. June to August shipments, good fair £26 15s, fair £23 15s, prices normal. Manilla fair current £26 10s, June to August shipments £26 15s, prices normal. The output from Manilla for the week was 29.000 bales.
