FOOTBALL.
THE EASTERN SUB-UNION. The first games under the n?w Eastern Districts Sub-Union wecre played on Saturday. Toko and Strathmore met at Toko in pouring rain. The game ended in a drair, each sido scoring an unconverted tsry in each spell. Mr C. .Jackson xefereed. Kohuratahi defaulted to Whamgamoinona, on account of the weather, and being unable to get sufficient players.
