NEW PLYMOUTH WINTER SHOW.

This big fixture is now becoming the chief topic of conversation both in town and country, and from present indications it will be the greatest exhibition ever offered to the public in this district. Report says that the Government, with its 1000 ft. of space, will make a display which will be both interesting and instructive, and will far surpass the display made here some years ago. In the home industry classes, Mr jJh. Street’s £5 5s silver cup is again offered for competition, and should draw large entries for the particular class for which it is offered. In this section, Mrs H. H. Street offers a points prize for girls under 12 years. A new trophy in the way of a silver cup has been presented this year by Mr G. W. Browne for the best collection of farm produce grown on one farm, and it is understood that there will bo several new exhibitors competing in this class, so that last year’s winner will have to look to bis laurels. Exhibitors are reminded that entries close on Saturday, May 30th at 9 p.m., and that schedules will be forwarded to any address on application to the secretary, P.O. box 19, New Plymouth.
