ABOLISHING TIPPING.
Ottawa, May 1-1. The Senate considered Mr Davis’ Bill to abolish tipping. Mr Davis declared that waiters and waitresses throughout the country favored the Bill. Mr Choquette declared that the Bill was unworkable. Mr Boyer questioned whether Parliament added to its dignity by considering such a measure. It was impossible to enforce such a lav. The Bill passed its second reading, with a provision omitting servants in private houses.
