FIRE.
[Per Press Association ] Wanganui, May 14. A fire broke out at 2.15 a.m. at the residence of Mrs J. H. Nixon, Wanganui East, and the building of sixteen rooms was totally destroyed. One of the inmates Ijad a ’narrow escape. The insurances were £SOO on the house in the Royal Exchange and £IOO on the furniture in the Yorkshire office.
