The Danish Sovereigns received a great public ovation and were entertained at Guildhall, states a London cablegram. Mr Felix Campbell, at the annual meeting of the Greymouth Harbor Board last night, was elected chairman for the fifth year in succession. Police Inspector Wilson was in Stratford yesterday in the course of a tour of inspection of the police stations in the district. The Rev. Mr Crookston has been elected Moderator of the Presbyterian General Assembly, states a , Melbourne cablegram. Mr and Mrs Thomas M'Bride, of Glen Isles, Forster (N.S.W.). celebrated their golden wedding on May :2. Their 12 children, six sons and six daughters, with their wives and husbands were all present, also a number of grandchildren and great-grand- • children. The whole family totalled 95.
