SUNDAY CLOSING BILL REJECTED. TBt Electric Telegraph—Copyright} [United Fbebi jUsooiation.] London, May 8. Mr Davies (South: Bristol) moved the second reading of a Bill providing that hotels should bo closed on Sundays, except for three hours, between noon and ten in the evening, in the provinces, and four hours, between 'noon and eleven p.m. in London; also for extending the distance for bona fide travellers from three to six miles. Ho urged that every country which has'the blessing of Sunday closing wished to continue it. The division was: For rejection, 198; against, 176.
