LIBERAL CAMPAIGN.

MR ISSTT AT INGLEWOOD. Mr L. M. Isitt spoke at Inglewood last night and dealt with the political situation on much the same lines as in Mr Wilford’s speech at Stratford. At the conclusion of the meeting a vote of thanks and confidence was passed. MR FORBES AT TARIKI. Mr Gf. W. Forbes, M.P., addressed a meeting at Tariki last night, some two or three hundred being present. His address was mainly on lines similar to Mr Wilford’s address, but ho touched on several other subjects. Mr Forbes spoke most hopefully of the (prospects of the Liberal Party at tin coming elections. Question time was the liveliest time of the meeting, but everything 'went off pleasantly, and Mr Forbes successfully handled the position. “ ■ln answer to a question Mr Forbes said Mr Massey could have settled the recent strike when he attended the conference of men and employers, bui he teook no steps in that direction. Mr Forbes said he would repeat the statement from any platform in the country to enhble Mr Massey to answer it. Mr Forbes also refuted the allegation made by the Government that during last session the Liberals were in fear of a dissolution, i At the conclusion of the address, a hearty vote of 1 thanks to the speaker, and of confidence in the Liberal Party, was carried unanimously. The speaker and visitors were afterwards entertained at supper by the local people. The health of the “Liberal Party” was proposed by Mr N. JKing, of Stratford, and replied to by Messrs Forbes and W.
