MAORIS AND LIQUOR.
BARMAN AND LICENSEE FINED. [Pie Phrss Association.] Gisborne, May 4. At Waipirp Bay, before Mr Barton, S.M., the barman of the Tnparoa Hotel was fined £2O and costs for supplying liquor to a native in a prohibited area. M‘Kenzie, the licensee,' was fined a ■similar amount and intimated that he would appeal.
