HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT, The High Commissioner reports as follows from London under date May 2nd:— , Butter. —The market is quiet. Danish Ills to 113 s, New Zealand 106 s to 108 s, unsalted 114 s to IDs, Australian 100 s to 104 s, Argentine 9Ss to 100 s, Siberian 96s to 100 s. Cheese.—The market is quiet witl a tendency in favor of buyers. Canadian, finest white 68s to <os, fine white 60s to 675, finest colored 69s to 71s, fine colored 66s to 6Ss, New Zealand finest white 61s 6d to 625, fine white 60s 6d to 61s, fine 60s 6a to 61s, finest colored 64s to 64s 6d, fine colored 63s to 63s 6d, Australian whit® 60s. colored 61s to 625. It is estimated that the Canadian cheese stocks on Ist May in London, Liverpool and Bristol were 48,000 boxes, against 82,000 at the same date last year. New Zealand and Australian stocks on Ist May in London and Bristol were 73,000 crates, against 55,600 on the same date last year. Hemp.—The market has declined owing to the favorable news of mediation with Mexico. The market which was unsettled and excited has subsided. New Zealand good fair £26 10s,'fair £23 10s, Manila fair current £27 10s, forward shipment same ! prices. The output from Manila for I the week was 33,000 bales. I Wool.—The market is firm.
