A Dunedin Press Association tele gram this afternoon states; Genera Sir lan Hamilton, accompanied b> General Godley and the Hon. J. Allei (Minister for Defence) this morninj. reviewed the cadets, National reserve garrison artillery in the presence o: about GOOD spectators. The weathei was good. General Hamilton express ed himself highly pleased with tin steadiness and appearance of the ranks, and asked the men to consider for themselves facts pi history as showing that it was necessary to he prepared for war in order to avoid war. Gen cfal Hamilton afterwards left for the Matarae Camp.
