FIRE.

STABLES DESTROYED. [Pee Peebs Association ] Eketahuna, April 28. At five o’clock this morning, Firth and Son’s stables were gutted. A motor lorry, one horse, and a large' stock of feed were lost. The fire had a big hold before it was discovered. A son of Firth sleeping on the premises escaped by a .window. The brigade prevented a further spread of the fire. The building was owned by Parsons. The insurance on the motor was £4OO, and on the, stock and plant £3OO in the Norwich. The building insurance is not available.
