Rockfeller, the largest owner in the Colorado mines, where fighting is still proceeding, to attempt to restore peace, as the President is unable to despatch any troops to the strike area, owing to the Mexican trouble. Half a million miners in lowa threaten to strike unless a settlement is effected.
