ATTEMPTED MURDER. [Per Press Association.] Dunedin, April 24. At the Police Court to-day George Green (on remand) was charged with atetempting on March 22 to commit murder by discharging a loaded re j volevr at Eleanor Maud Green, hi-, wife, and was remanded for a-further week. ■- HOLLAND’S SENTENCE. The police said the men arrived in Wellington a few weeks ago, and had "worked” various race meetings here, their special forte being apparently picking pockets. Both were stated to have served terms in prison. Wilson’s record included two sentences of fiveyea rs. They were sentenced to a month each.
