The bomb at Yarmouth was heard for a mile from the pier. The fire brigade were unable to extinguish the burning timber, and after an hour and a half only the .iron framework of the pavilion remained. A quantity of suffragist literature was found on the pier. The Empire Music Hall was burnt, the damage being £3OOO. The grandstand at Kempton was set afire and mrrowly escaped destruction. At Penzance a picture .palace and skating rink was burnt ;down, the damage running into thousands. ' Mrs Pankhurst .threatens-a suffra-gist-procession to' Buckingham Palace on May 21st, aided by Sylvia's East End brigade. n The militants threaten to spoil the London season by annoying the best known hostesses. >'
