ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

POISON BY MISTAKE. [Pas Pbebs Association.] Gisborne, April 16. A Portuguese, named Nathaniel De Souza, about 50 years of age, was found in a dying condition at Xgatapa yesterday morning, evidently having swallowed a dose of poison, presumably some disinfectant. The deceased kept a boarding-house and dining-rooms for railway workers there, and was found at his residence as the men went over for breakfast, lying in a dying condition and groaning, apparently in 'the severest possible pain. The theory is that the ipoison was taken by mistake.
