VOTES OF TERRITORIALS. “AN UNFORESEEN DIFFICULTY." [Pub Press Association.! Dunedin, April 15. The Hon. Mr Allen was asked this morning if the Territorials in camp at the time of the municipal elections would he allowed to exercise their votesP The Minister replied that lie had not consulted with the officials in Wellington re the responsibility of having polling booths in camp, hut was advised there was no power to do so. The question of letting the men away to vote has been considered, but the step was out of the question on the ground of expense and serious interference with the work at camp. Mr Allen said he regretted the matter very much, hut the difficulty had cropped up suddenly and had not been foreseen.
