THE FATE OF A SEALER.

The steamer Newfoundland reports that the sealing vessel Southern ; Cross was crushed by ~ice and sank off Cape Race. It is believed that over a hundred of the crew perished. The Newfoundland rescued fifty. Many are dead, and others are dying. The crew took refuge on ice floes after the Southern Cross sank.
