The Government Meteorologist (Re\ D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: The indications are for westerly winds strong to gale prevailing and freshening. The weather appears to bo cloudy and unsettled at times, with rain probable. Barometer unsteady i with a falling tendency.
