SAWYER'S BAY SHOOTING.

ACCUSED REMANDED.

[Peb jPuf«* Association.] Dunedin, March 30.

George Havelock Green, on remand, was charged in the Police Court this morning with, on the 22nd inst., at Sawyers Bay, attempting to commit murder by discharging a revolver at his wife, Eleanor Maud Green. ChiefDetective Herbert asked for a remand for eight days. He did not anticipate going on with the case then, as the woman was not likely to be able to leave the hospital for some time. Mr Irwin, for accused, offered no objection for a remand. He understood that Mrs Green's jaw was brokon, and that had only been discovered since the accused was last before the Court. Accused was remanded until Wednesday week.
