Paris, March 28
Lord Esher, speaking on War and Peace, said those who detest war and desire peace should welcome the alliance between Britain and France. The conversion of the Triple Entente into a second Triple Alliance, leading ultimately to a concert of all the great Powers, was based npon reason and common interest, from which the uncertain element of sporadic action was eliminated.
