Viscount Haldane (Lord Chancellor), replying to a deputation to urge the admission of women to the legal profession, said he. favored the proposed Bill, but considered they ought to leave Nature, not Law, to determine women's disabilities.

The Lord Chancellor informed a deputation that the Government were entirely favorable to a Bill admitting women to practice as solicitors.
