VILLA BEATS THE FEDERALS.

Villa, with twelve thousand troops, fought a bloody battleTn the neighborhood of Gomez Palacio, a village near Torreon, Velasco. The Federal commander, attempted to check Villa’s march by Abe left of Torreon and gave battle. After a fierce'engagement and heavy losses Velasco retreated, leaving the villages on fire after a heavy artillery duel. The hospitals are full of wounded. Torreon is still holding out.
