STRATFORD MOTORING CLUB.
Last Thursday the Stratford Motoring Club held its initial petrol consumption trial. Niue starters were despatched on a 55-mile journey. The following makes of motor cycles were represented:—B.S.A., 3; Triumphs, 2; Swift, 2; Douglas, 2. The first three to finish were:
R. Okey, 3] h.p, (8.5. A.); rding weight 3cwt Oqrs I4lbs; petrol A'.sed )65ozs.
C. Whittington, 3’ h.p. (Triumph) riding weight 3cwt 2qrs 61 bs; petro. used GGozs.
J. Gunderson, 3]- h.p. (8.5. A.) riding weight 3cwt. Iqr 221bs; petro used 74ozs.
By taking the riding weight into consideration the final result is as followsC. Whittington -Triumph), 1; R. Okey (8.5. A.), 2; J. Gunderson (8.5. A.), 3.
