A CHARGE OF THEFT.

An indent agent, named Frederick Sehlaich, was arrested to-day upon a charge that about December 19, 1913, he did commit theft, having received the sum of £BIO 4s on terms requiring him to account for or pay ifcHq Messrs Hughes and Cosser, indent agents, of Auckland, and that he fraudulently omitted to account for or pay it. At the time of the alleged offence the accused was in the employ of Messrs Hughes and Cosser, but since Christmas he Has been carrying oil a business of his own. . -'
