THE POSITION OF THE SIGNALS.

Interest lias been aroused by the statement of the driver of the Temora mail that the down distant end signal was off when lie passed it. By means of the interlocking system it is impossible to lower the distant signal while the home signal is at danger. The home signal was on. An expert opined that the cold setting in after the hot day might have contracted the wire sufficiently to lower the signal.
