Hundreds of scholars in Warwickshire struck as a protest against the decision of the authorities to enforce attendance after children had passed their thirteenth birthday. The scholars paraded the streets carrying hags, and damaged the school buildings. The police dispersed them several times. The children in the Scottish schools are also causing trouble. They have demanded a short school day, halfholiday, and no caning. When they returned each was given four strokes. The headmaster had a bnsv half-hour.
