Athens, March 1

The Greek Government has informed Turkey that it is unable to depart from tlio decision of the Powers in regard to the islands of Chies and Mejtilene. Under no circumstances will Greece allow the islands to revert to Turkey.

Premier Venozuelos is taking stringent action to suppress the growing movement in Epirus in favor of autonomy. He cashiered an officer who was leading the movement, although he belongs to a highly influential family, and he also ordered the arrest of tho President of the Autonomous Government.

The Chronicle's Constantinople correspondent says:—Evener Pasha has ordered a test mobilisation of three army corps ill Asia Minor, and intends when Parliament meets at the end of the month to denounce the Powers' decision ro the Aegean islands.
