Mr M. L. Reading, associate editor of the New Zealand Times, lias been appointed editor of the Lyttelton Times, vice Mr S. Saunders, who recently resigned.
The Rev. Pattison did not, as stated yesterday in the “Post” under a misapprehension, proceed to Gisborne, merely accompanying Mrs Pattison as far as Wanganui and returning to Stratford yesterday afternoon.
The death of Canon Samuel Rolles Driver, D.D., is announced by cable from London. Deceased was a distinguished Hebrew scholar and issued several publications on Biblical matters. He was born in Southampton in 1846.
