FIRES.
o A SHOP DESTROYED. i.v \ ,/ [Per Press Association.] Auckland, February 25. A two-storey shop at the corner of Cook and Vincent Streets, owned by Mrs Wilson and occupied by H. A. Merson, grocer, was destroyed by fire at 2 o’clock this morning. The outbreak originated in a violent explosion, presumably from an escape of gas.
