A CASE AT SINGLETON. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright' ■’[United Press Association.] (Received 10.50 a.m.) Sydney, February 24. A child has contracted smallpox at Singleton. REFUSE TO FOOT THE BILL. Melbourne, February 24. Xew South Wales has declined to pay the bill amounting to £7OOO which was presented by the Federal Ministry, and representing New South Wales’ indebtedness in connection with the smallpox outbreak. The matter will be brought before a conference of premiers.
