BLACKS v. WHITES.
FIVE NEGROES KILLED. ■ New York, February 23. A posse of sheriffs attempted to arrest thirty negro revellers at Tunica, Mississippi. The blacks opened fire, killing a deputy-sheriff. Volleys were exchanged and the white men were forced to retreat, being short of ammunition. The negroes fled, but a posse tracked them, killing five separately. Bloodhounds are following others on the trail. White men swear they will kill every negro participating.
