INTERESTING TRIAL.
POLISH COUNT ACCUSED. ; By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 1.5 p.m.) Berlin, February 20. The trial of Mielezynski with closed doors is proceeding at Nisrietz. There is intense public interest, special trains bringing the Count’s society friends and journalists from all parts of Austria and Germany. The Count is charged with manslaughter. There are twenty-six witnesses. A dramatic feature of the trial will be tho reproduction of the tragedy. The judges, jurymen and witnesses will, be taken to the Count’s castle at night time by special train. The Count’s hemorrhage, due to shooting, in 1895, is so serious that ho is unlikely to live long. H uploads guilty, but alleges dire provocation—ho fired on the spur of the moment. Count Mielezynski is charged in respect of the death of his younger brother, whom tho Count shot dead when he found him in suspicious circumstances in his wife’s bedroom.
