RACECOURSE BETTING.
,», . OFFENCES AT DARGAVILLE. [Per Press Association.] Dargaville, February 20. At the Magistrate's Court to-day reserved judgment was given in the rase of Barbarieh, charged with betting on the Dargaville racecourse on January 14th. He was fined £2O, with costs 17s. Poynton, alias Williams,! was fined £3O, and costs, or one month in prison in default on a similar charge. Ten guineas was fixed as costs for appeal.
