A NEW RAILWAY.
FIRST SOD TURNED. [Per Press Association.! Auckland, February 20. The first sod of the branch railway to Waiuku was turned this afternoon by the Prime Minister before a very large and enthusiastic gathering of the district residents. This is understood to be the first occasion on which Mr Massey has officially turned the sod of a railway.
