' MARFELL—OXENHAM. A quiet but'pretty wedding was solemnised at Te Henui Church of England onV Tuesday afternoon, says the NewS, by the Rev. AH. Colville. when ' Miss Ivy Qxenham,' : of Fitzroy, was united in matrimony to Mr H. Mattel, of Westown, eldest son of Mr fa. Marfell, of Toko 1 . 1 The bride was, Attired in a pretty dfess of cream santoria, trimmed with overall lace and silk insertion. She wore the orthodox veil, with a wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a handsome bouquet of white roses, cactus dahlias, and asparagus fern. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses Hilda ,Marfell (sister of the bridegroom) and Gladys,Qxenham (sister of the bride), both robed.in,heliotrope with black hats. ; The bridegroom was,, attended by his brother, Mr Trevor Marfell, as best man, and Mr W. Watkins (Waikato) as groomsman. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold neckchain and pendant, and to the bridesmaids a gold chain and pendant and a brooch respectively. After the ceremony a large 1 number of guests were entertaine by the bride's parents at a wedding breakfast, when the usual felicitous toasts were proposed and honored. In the evening the young couple left by the Rarawa for Auckland, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue costume and black hat.
