IPbb Press Association. 1 Wellington, February" 17. • In the Supreme Court to-day,judg-ment was given in a case involving the powers of the executive of the Wellington Wharf Laborers' Union to operate on the funds of the Union in the Hank of New Zealand. in consequence of a protest by several members of the Union against the Bank making payments without the authority of a legally constituted meeting of the Union, the Hank declined to pay and an originating summons was brought. The Chief Justice held that the executive could withdraw funds for ordinary expense; as directors of companies ordinarily do.
